Josh is one of my longest attending students. He was around 8 years old when I first met him and I have had the absolute pleasure of seeing him grow into the well rounded, intelligent and ambitious individual he is today. He does make me feel old though. Josh was very kind and wrote about his time having lessons with me.

Drum Jam!
So in the midst of all the Pokemon mayhem, that seems to have taken over everyone's lives, I arranged a meet up with two of my favourite fellow educators (Mr Ryan Bright and Mr Matt Sowerby).
It seemed at first that it wasn't going to happen. We'd arranged for the Saturday but Matt had some live sound engineering work to do so that left just myself and Ryan but we decided to hold off until Matt was available.
A few days later, on the Tuesday, we successfully arranged a meet up that we could all actually attend. We met up at Ryan's practice studio and each set up our pride and joy.Monday, 6 June 2016
Testimonial - Fred and his parents, Blythe and Rodger
I have taught Fred for the last 4 years and he's an absolute joy to work with. His sense of humour is second to none and his energy is infectious. He's come along way with his playing and I'm really proud of his achievements. Fred and his parents (Blythe and Rodger) had some kind words about my teaching and I asked if they didn't mind me posting them on my website - being the lovely people that they are, they didn't mind at all. They are a wonderful family and I'm lucky to know them.

Keith Carlock/ Ash Soan Drum Clinic - 23/05/16
Much to my frustration, this is the second time I have had to write this blog post. I posted the original within days of attending the Keith Carlock/ Ash Soan clinic event but unfortunately the post was accidentally deleted.
The clinic was held in Castleford and was a lovely gift from a student of mine. Teejay and his Dad Tom bought me the ticket as a thankyou for my work in Teejay's lessons and I couldn't appreciate it more. Tom managed to grab us some absolutely incredible seats and I managed to get some great pictures of the two drum kits as we arrived.

Testimonials - Helen
It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to this lovely lady today. I've taught her for almost 9 years out of the 13 years she's been playing! She loves playing drums but sometimes life gets in the way. It's been an absolute pleasure! And I would gladly do it again. Well done Helen! I'm sure we'll continue to stay in touch! Good luck with the future.

Testimonials - Will and Ian Haliday
Over the years I've been lucky enough to have hard working, determined and driven students. None more so that Will Halliday. He started his Drum lessons, with me, at the age of 5 and I soon realised that he had a natural musical spark. In November 2011, he passed his grade 3 exam with a merit, which is no easy feat. He continued his learning and decided to take a little break from grades to concentrate on his playing and technique. In 2013 Will passed his grade 5 with a merit and then just 10 months later he passed grade 6 too. But that still wasn't enough for this little guy...

Testimonials - James Tansey
I have been teaching drums for around 10 years and in that time I have taught a great deal of interesting people. One of those people is a student called James. He is most definitely eccentric and an extrovert in absolutely everything he does. He's a great guy and a lot of fun to teach!
